Kirkby Stephen Golf Club Rules

We pride ourselves on our friendly approach to golf and we encourage youngsters, beginners and competent golfers alike. The Course Rules exist to ensure that everyone enjoys their game and that the course is maintained for future players. 

1. The location of the course makes it a haven for wildlife and a tranquil place to relax – all players should respect this environment.

2. Balls hit into adjoining fields are out of bounds and should not be retrieved by climbing walls or fences.

3. There should be no more than four in a group to avoid slow play.

4. Please respect fellow golfers and avoid dangerous play.

5. Please respect our greens and do not run on them, throw down bags or throw flag sticks. Please repair divots and pitch marks on greens.

6. Appropriate footwear is recommended to avoid damage to the greens.

7. At all times please keep the course tidy with no litter.

8. Competitions and event days take precedence and priority of play.

9. Membership fees are due during the month of April each year. Failure to renew during that month may result in termination of membership.

10. Membership can be withdrawn at the discretion of the course management team.

11. Members are responsible for their guest’s behaviour and to ensure that they abide by the Course Rules.

12. It is each member’s responsibility to help to implement these Course Rules.
